Gerald Alfred Quigley, is my older brother, the second son of my parent's Gerald and Yvonne. Sadly, my father went to his grave not knowing what happened to Gerald. Growing up, Gerald always knew when I was sick, he even stopped me choking on a two pence piece as a toddler. So he is the third person I owe my life to after our parents. Gerald could see that life in London was getting expensive and so after a stay with the British Army, where he intended to be an Army Medic, Gerald decided he wanted to settle where he could build a future and opted to settle in the Northeast of England. However in the April of 1999 Gerald left his home and has not been seen since. In the February of 1999 we buried our maternal grandfather. At our Grandfather's wake, Gerald and I had a heart to heart and put a couple of niggling issues to rest. His parting words to me were "I'll see you in the Alex, for your 21st, if not before". Gerald intended on working his way back South in order to be closer to his family, but he still has not been home and did not come to celebrate my 21st. So this page is to help keep Gerald's memory alive for everyone. The picture shows Gerald and I sharing a ride at Butlins in Ayr, Scotland on a family holiday in the summer of 1985. The same holiday in which our father purchased my first kilt from Bell's of Dunoon.
Please watch and share this appeal with friends and family. You might hold the key to reuniting us with Gerald. This will ensure that Gerald is never forgotten. There is also a link to the Missing People charity here in the UK for anyone who may have been affected by someone going missing.
