A heartfelt and warm welcome to all who may pass across my personal website, Kilts on Tour.
Until recently (April 2025) I was known to many as Peter Quigley. Having lost an uncle to cancer, permission was sought from my dear Mum to change my name. This included a change in my middle names too. I am now known as Peter Knight-Quigley.
Since childhood and into adulthood I have experienced issues with my weight and issues with mental health; mainly anxiety and depression triggered by past traumas. Some of my past and upcoming journeys I have chosen to share in the hope of showing those who may be experiencing similar journeys in life that they are not alone; as well as having some fun along the way in sharing some of my hobbies and interests.
From time to time I love dressing up in a vibrant splash of tartan, Scotland's greatest gift to the World! So be on the lookout for these special appearances. I do so as it's a nice nod to my heritage and remembering my late Father who was originally from Hamilton, Lanarkshire.
On this site, which is new as of June 2025, I will be sharing blogs and vlogs about my weight loss journey, my developing relationship with music and exploring my other interests and stories. Discretion is also advised, but any sensitive details will be marked as such.
Since 2020, I have been on a journey to lose and maintain my weight at much healthier levels following bariatric surgery. I have set myself the target of finding 25,000 kind hearted people from across the globe to help me on my journey to a better future by asking them to kindly donate just £2. To learn more, please click the button to my Just Giving Page. If you would like to know more about my journey so far click the Weight Loss button above.
